Museum Shop

The best place to begin a visit to Oakland Cemetery is at the Visitors Center and Museum Shop in the Bell Tower.  Here you will find self-guided tour information, maps, brochures and helpful volunteers to answer your questions and point you in the right direction.  Burial records are kept here, in case you wish to look up a specific gravesite.

Plan some time to browse in the Museum Shop before you leave.  Oakland boasts one of the only Museum Shops in the country affiliated with an historic cemetery and the assortment of merchandise is as unique as the shop itself.  Favorites include books, Oakland souvenirs, home décor, T-shirts and caps, jewelry, tombstone soap, note cards and much, much more.  There’s even a selection for the kids.

The Visitors Center and Museum Shop are open M-F March 15-Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; and M-F Nov. 1 – mid-March from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. .
