Finally, Friday is a monthly recurring event hosted at the Oakland Visitor Center. No tickets or reservations required to attend (select activities require tickets) — just meet at the Oakland Visitor Center and enjoy community, food, learning, and fun at the liveliest Cemetery around.

Kids’ Craft: Heart Suncatcher (FREE)

Had enough of the Valentine’s Day candy and construction paper notes?  Capture the magic of Valentine's Day by creating a colorful heart suncatcher. Handcrafted with vibrant reds and soft pinks, it casts beautiful, colorful light across rooms when the sun shines through.

‘Til Death Do Us Part: A Spirited Love Stories Tour  

EXPERIENCE

Get into the spirit of Valentine’s Day by visiting with some of Oakland Cemetery’s most famous lovers.

Similar to Oakland’s signature Capturing the Spirit of Oakland Halloween tours, guided flashlight tours will take visitors to several gravesites to learn the love stories of Oakland residents from the residents themselves.

This tour will last approximately 1 hour and include ½ mile of walking through a darkened cemetery. 

$20 for Historic Oakland Foundation Members (enter member email at checkout)

$25 for non-Members

Love Beyond Walls Donations

As we show our love for family & friends on Valentine’s Day, share your support and love for Atlantans experiencing homelessness & poverty. 

In partnership with Love Beyond Walls, we will be collecting donations of canned goods, blankets, laundry detergent, & hygiene items to distribute to over 500 families in need through Love Beyond Walls’ monthly Love Feeds program.   

Plus, we have partnered with The Blood Connection to host a blood drive from 12PM - 5PM. Sign up here to participate!
