...and a few friends to join in the fun!

Guests are asked to get creative and bring their own table décor. The possibilities are endless, but a prize will be awarded for each of the following themes: 

Best Decade – Think Roaring 20’s, Psychedelic 70’s, or a future decade yet to be imagined. Design your table and attire for the decade, ANY decade, you would travel in time to experience.  

Most Atlanta – Honor the culture and history of this incredible city. Past, present, or future, we want to see your tablescape highlight what makes Atlanta our favorite city!  

Obviously, Oakland – Architecture, History, Southern Gardens, or Victorian Gothic; there are so many ways to share the beauty of Oakland! Design your table to showcase what inspires you most about our beloved space.  

Go Solo – You’re not decorating a whole table, but you still want to compete for best theme design? Don’t worry, there is a category just for you and other individual place settings! All General Admission ticket holders are eligible.  

6:00 PM – Event Begins
Check in at the Visitor Center, grab a welcome drink, and get the celebration started!  

Scan your ticket via the QR code and receive your table number.

Carry your decor down to your table near the Bell Tower (rolling carts or wagons recommended) or you can join the queue for a golf cart ride to the Bell Tower.

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guaranteed for all guests. General Admission ticketholders will be at open-seated tables. All décor must be set and non-essential items stored out of sight prior to 7 PM.

7:00 PM – Picnic 
Picnic and party officially start! Live music, shared stories, and toasts to each decade begins! Cheers!   

9:00 PM – Awards

Raffle winners and design awards are announced for Best Decade, Most Atlanta, Obviously, Oakland, and the Solo competitor!  

10:00 PM –  Picnic Ends
Please clean your table, collect your trash, and pack away your designs! Thank you for spending a historic evening at Oakland Cemetery! 

The Golden Jubilee Picnic will take place rain or shine, and all efforts will be made to host the Picnic, regardless of weather. Tickets are not refundable. In the unlikely event that the Golden Jubilee Picnic is canceled, all ticket purchases will be converted to tax-deductible donations.   

A Picnic Dinner is included in admission, and cash bars will be available throughout the evening. 

Tables and chairs await you, nestled on the grounds beneath the Bell Tower.  

Guests bring their table décor - including table coverings. 6-foot tables without linens/table coverings and chairs are provided.  

• Table Purchases - you will be responsible for providing all decor for the tablescape. 

• General Admission Tickets – you will be responsible for providing decor for your place setting. 

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guaranteed for all guests. Table Purchases will be reserved, and General Admission ticket holders will take their seats at one of the communal tables.  

The following are strictly prohibited at the Golden Jubilee Picnic: 

• No flames/fire. Flameless candles, string lights, and lanterns allowed.  

• Smoking   

• Tents and other structures  

• Balloons  

• No vehicles will be allowed inside Oakland Cemetery. Parking is available at the Visitor Center and surrounding street parking.   

• Pets  

By attending the Golden Jubilee Picnic, you are entering an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur.
