6 Reasons to Do Your Shopping at Oakland Cemetery’s Fall Plant Sale
Our annual Fall Plant Sale is fast approaching and we are so excited to share the wonderful selection of trees, shrubs, perennials, edibles and houseplants with you this year! The sale will take place Saturday, September 27th from 9 AM to 2 PM, with a special Member-exclusive preview on Friday, September 26th from 2 PM to 8 PM.
This year we anticipate carrying over 300 species of plants with a heavy focus on Georgia natives and hard to find historic plants, all sourced from family-owned, southern nurseries. We will have small trees and shrubs selected for compact urban gardens, pollinator-magnet perennials, all your favorite fall veggies and herbs, and low-maintenance houseplants to brighten your home.
Garden Volunteers get first dibs on the plants as they arrive. If you have ever considered volunteering with the Gardens at Oakland Cemetery, this is a fantastic opportunity to see if it’s a good fit for you. All levels of garden experience are welcome! You can find out more information and sign up here.
