Homeschool Day: Black History Month focuses on the rich history and culture of African American communities in Atlanta, particularly through Oakland Cemetery and its connections to the legacy of Black history, culture, and art in the city.
From an interactive tour highlighting Atlanta’s African American pioneers and a story-telling activity about black life in Atlanta to connecting students with the city’s contemporary green professionals and artists, homeschool students will learn through a variety of interactive educational activities.
